See the cities with the most dismissals and that most hired in April

For the 13th consecutive month, there were more layoffs than hires workers with a formal contract in April. According to the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (Caged), they were lost in the month, 62,840 formal jobs.

Among the 20 cities with the most dismissals in April, 10 are capitals: São Paulo (-10,761); Rio de Janeiro (-6319); Salvador (-3695); Belo Horizonte (-2538); Recife (-1995); Manaus (-1935); St. Louis (-1704); Curitiba (-1320); Natal (-1217) and Maceio (-1141)

inner cities recorded better performance than their capital. Among the 20 cities that hired in April, Pontal (SP), for example, has nearly 46,000 inhabitants, according to IBGE data, ranks second (See list below). Six other cities of São Paulo also appear in the list of the most employed.

Juazeiro, Bahia, can celebrate: the city gained 1,982 new jobs last month.

Among the cities that hired only Brasilia appears between the capital, with 1,202 new jobs, mostly in the services and construction.
